Operation Rules

  1. 1. Basic information
    Prague Fear House is a “ghost train” type attraction in the premises situated in the basement of a house
    in Prague 1 at Vodičkova 32, post code 110 00 with a staffed bar offering refreshments.
    Prague Fear House is operated daily
    on workdays from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. and at weekends and on holidays from 12 a.m. to 12 p.m. The bar is open daily, on
    working days from 2 a.m. to 12 p.m. and at weekends and on holidays from 12 a.m. to 12 p.m.
    The Operator of Prague Fear House is Prague Fear House s.r.o. company, identification No (IČ): 04729897, with the
    registered office at Lodecká 1181/4, Prague 1 - Nové Město, post code 110 00, incorporated in the Commercial Register kept
    by the Municipal Court in Prague, section C, record 252780 (hereinafter referred to as the “Operator”).
  2. Events organised by the Operator
    Prague Fear House tours are organised along marked tour routes in the cellar / basement premises of Prague Fear House. The tours are held mostly in the dark in the specific area adapted for this purpose and they have a high fear effect on the Event participants due to their nature or arrangement.
    Prague Fear House tours are organised in two versions – in the “regular” version and in the “hard” version (hereinafter jointly or individually referred to as the “Akce”). The Events in the “regular” version are organised by the Operator every day in the opening hours. The events in the “hard” version are only available after a prior e-mail or telephone agreement.
    During the Event the participants visit the individual rooms of the tour route and see performance by the persons hired by the Operator (hereinafter referred to as the “Herci”). For the purpose of their performance and roles, the Actors will be dressed and masked accordingly and they will scare the participants within their roles. In the “hard” version of the Event the Actors may pretend attacking the participants and they may even come into physical contact with them.
    The Event in the “regular” version is for minimum 1 person and maximum 4 people. The Event in the “regular” version lasts approx. 15 – 20 minutes.
    The Event in the “hard” version is for minimum 1 person and maximum 2 people. The Event in the “hard” version lasts approx. 30 minutes.
    Children under 15 are not allowed to attend the Event. Children at the age of 15 and older may attend only the Event in the “regular” version. The Event in the “hard” version can only be attended by people over 18.
    Attendance in the Event is conditioned by submitting a valid ticket.
  3. Organisation of events
    When a valid ticket is purchased and submitted, the Event participants will gather in the first room of the tour route and will be informed by a person authorised by the Operator about the nature and course of the Event and instructed about the rules of participation in it. Before the Event is commenced, the participants are obliged to read these operation rules. The participants in the “hard” version Event are obliged to confirm that they have read the rules to the Operator in the provided declaration forms by appending their signatures.
    The participants in the “hard” version Event will be instructed by a representative of the Operator about the rule of using the “code word” and they will be told this “code word”. They are aware of the fact that if they say this “code word” during the Event aloud and comprehensibly, their attendance in the Event will be terminated immediately and they will not be entitled to the admission refund.
    After being informed about this, the Event participant is entitled to refuse their attendance in the Event and if so, the admission will be refunded to them. If the Event participant does not use this opportunity, starts his/her participation in the Event and then terminates it due to any reason, the participant is not entitled to the admission refund.
    The attendance in the Event is commenced when the participants enter the Prague Fear House tour route. During the Event, the participants walk themselves in the direction of the marked tour. The participants are obliged to stay together and walk along the tour route one after another – only in the direction marked.
    With regard to the fact that the Prague Fear House tours are held in specific premises and mainly in the dark, it is necessary for the participants to stay in physical contact for the whole time of the Event – ideally by walking one after another and holding the shoulders of the participant in front of them with at least one hand.
    The participants are aware of the fact that the tour of Prague Fear House includes thrilling situations and moments which can be stressful to a certain degree. These are part and the core of the Event and none of the participants of the Event will get into a really dangerous situation during the Event.
    It is possible that during the Event the clothes of the participants may be soiled or stained and it is probable with regard to the specific nature of the premises and performance of the Actors. With regard to the fact that the Event happens mostly in the dark and it is not possible to anticipate the reaction of the participants to the performance of the Actors, a participant in the Event may fall over, crash into something or hit another participant, damage his/her clothes or get injured, grazed or bruised or cause damage to another participant. After being duly instructed by the Operator and when informed about these operation rules, the participants start the Event with full awareness of all the risks connected with their participation in the Event and solely at their own risk. The participants do not have any claims towards the Operator for compensation of any damage to property and health which occurs or may occur during their participation in the Event.
    During the Event the participant is not allowed to keep any weapons or other dangerous items which could endanger the health or possessions of the other participants of the Event, the Operator or any persons authorised by the Operator.
  4. Other rights and obligations of the participants
    A person who wants to attend the Event is obliged to read these operation rules before the Event is commenced and observe the stipulated obligations without any reservations.
    People intoxicated with alcohol or drugs are forbidden to take part in the Event. Attendance in the Event is not recommended for pregnant women, nervous people or people with mental, heart or breathing disorders as well as for people suffering from claustrophobia.
    Upon request from the Operator, a participant of the Event is obliged to prove duly their age by presenting a valid identity card.
    Every participant attends the event at their own risk.
    The Event participant is obliged to observe these operation rules and follow the instructions from the Operator and Actors. During the Event, the participant is obliged to move solely in the direction marked in the Event and stay in the area designated for participants. During the tour, the Event participant must not move in direction other than the one marked and is not allowed to stay in the individual rooms of the tour without a reason.
    The Event participant agrees that if he/she does not observe safety or operation rules or instructions from the representatives of the Operator and Actors, he/she can be marched out of the Event and premises of the Operator without being entitled to the admission refund.
    The Event participant is obliged to endure the Actors’ performance passively and must not prevent their acting actively – he/she must not attack the Actors in any way, especially to kick them or scratch them.
    In the “hard“ version, if a participant attending the Event wants to stop his/her participation in the Event due to any reason, he/she will say the “code word” aloud and comprehensibly to any of the nearest Actors.
    The Operator reserves the right not to admit any person to the premises of Prague Fear House or to participation in the Event without stating the reason. At the same time the Operator reserves the right to terminate attendance in the Event for the participants who breached the rules stipulated by these operation rules or who disturb the Event or the other participants with their behaviour – without the participants being entitled to the admission refund.
    In the premises of Prague Fear House it is forbidden to smoke and use naked flame.
    By attendance at the Event, the participant gives his/her consent to the Operator with taking photographs and making audiovisual recordings of his/her attendance in the Event and with publishing these recordings within the scope of the promotion and presentation of Prague Fear House or of the Operator. This consent is granted solely for the above specified purpose and it is valid until revoked by the participant.
    It is forbidden for the participant to take photos or make any other audiovisual recordings from the Event. If this ban is breached or if any other obligation or ban stipulated by these operation rules is breached resulting in damage to the equipment of Prague Fear House, the participant is obliged to pay to the Operator a contractual penalty of CZK 5,000. This does not affect the right of the Operator for damage compensation at full amount. If an obligation or ban stipulated by these operation rules is breached, the Operator is also entitled to terminate the participant’s attendance at the Event immediately without the participant being entitled to the admission refund.
    Before the Event is commenced, the participants are obliged to leave their personal belongings and any valuables in the supervised cloakroom. The Operator is not responsible for any damage or loss of the personal belongings or valuables if they are not left in the supervised cloakrooms.
  5. Final provisions
    The Operator reserves the right to change these operation rules.
    These operation rules come into force on 1 March 2017.
